It’s that time of year again: time to start prepping your mare for breeding. Since horses cycle seasonally, your mare has likely not been in heat since autumn and wouldn’t naturally come back into heat until May. However, since many horses have their age calculated from Jan. 1 each year, you may wish to give Mother Nature a little help in that regard. Please call Dr Newman if you would like to discuss breeding decisions.
We have our "Giving Tree" up in the office! This is a great opportunity to give a monetary gift to pets in need. We have ornaments with dollar values on them and you can anonymously donate to help people who may be struggling to care for their pets during the holiday season. We also encourage people to donate items to the pet shelters during the holidays! We have a list posted of what is needed and encourage people to take their donations up to the front desk. Thanks so much!
