There is no other vet in the world that I would trust my horses to with the faith and confidence I place in Dr. Jack Newman! Dr. Newman has treated our equine and companion families for longer than I can remember--into our second decade at least! Dr. Newman has dealt with everything for our breeding operation including AI for both mares receiving shipped semen and collection of our stallions, retained placentas, foal scours, breeding exams, and ultrasounds. He sets up all our vaccination schedules so the organization stays healthy with horses coming and going. He performs dental care on our horses with both the rotary and manual as needed. He has done everything for us including colic surgery, gutteral pouch and esophegeal scopings, lameness exams, injecting of joints on barrel horses, treating severe wounds, coggins and health inspections both national and international, and of course the ever necessary gelding/neutering. I have the ultimate trust and faith in the abilities of Dr. Newman and know that not only will he make the right decision for care with my horses, but if needed he is not afraid to call the big guys at the universities or send them x-rays for another opinion. He is a full treatment center with safe horse stocks, stalls, ultrasound, scopes, laboratory testing, and trained and competent staff who are also the friendliest people around! Dr. Newman is the only one who gets the call--"I am leaving town for a week and the caretakers have your number!" He knows my treatment plans for each one and I have the utmost faith he would care for them the same as if I were present. Not only does he care for my equines, but my daughters have brought their animals back to him from Bozeman, just for that special-"I know I can trust what this man says" touch. ​We were first introduced to Associated Vet when my folks were hung up in Helena with a colicy mare and were unable to get any veterinary attention for her. They made a cold call to Dr. Newman who assessed the situation and told them to get the mare in the trailer and head to Great Falls where he met them out on the interstate and ultimately saved a mare that was very valuable to us. Dr. Newman and the support staff are very competent and efficient. We live a fair distance away and they are flexible in dealing with our travel distance, poor roads and bad scheduling and always take the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment in terms the layman can understand. The vets and staff are very willing to talk over the phone which is valuable to us with our distance involved. We appreciate vets that are willing to level with us about what the situation is without wasting our time, their time and most importantly getting timely and healing care for our horses and dogs. The facilities for Associated Vet, both at the clinic and the stable, are always kept neat and clean which we feel is a reflection on the quality of care our animals receive. We have and will continue to recommend Associated Vet to anyone looking for high quality equine and small animal veterinary care.
